Discernment in the life of a Christian

Abstract

The article presents discernment as an essential dimension of Christian life that guides decisions in the light of God’s will. It emphasizes the importance of observing reality, evaluating different options, and embracing the attitudes and feelings of Jesus Christ in order to act in accordance with the Gospel. It also highlights the need for Scripture, sacramental life, community participation, and pastoral guidance. Finally, it presents discernment as an ongoing practice that helps Christians face difficulties with hope, recognize God’s action, and make responsible choices in following Christ.
