Missionary with a father's heart

Abstract

The article reflects on evangelization as an experience of spiritual fatherhood, fraternity, and service, drawing on the testimony of a Catholic missionary in Cambodia and Pope Francis’s encyclical Fratelli tutti. It emphasizes that evangelization does not mean imposing beliefs, but rather accompanying people with humility, respect, and holistic care. It also presents fraternity as the foundation for encounters between cultures and religions, and closeness, friendship, and service as concrete expressions of the Gospel. Finally, it proposes Saint Joseph as a model of self-giving and spiritual fatherhood for a Church that accompanies others and promotes universal fraternity.
