Structures for communion in the Archdiocese of Medellín: A permanent experience of synodality

Abstract

The article describes the structures of the Archdiocese of Medellín aimed at promoting communion and synodality. Over the years, the Archdiocese has sought to renew its pastoral structures to facilitate greater participation of lay people and communities in the life of the Church. Synodality, understood as an active and co-responsible collaboration between all members, is fundamental to fulfill the mission of the Church. This approach promotes Trinitarian communion, highlighting the role of the laity and the importance of community conversion.
