Abstract

The article critically addresses the philosophical reflection on suicide, within which some approaches to it are presented, both from philosophy, as well as from the social field, followed by some arguments that expose as a counterpart the idea of ​​suicide as a response to the meaninglessness of life in today's society, to finally evoke some alternatives that encourage reflection, based on the value of man's existence as an opportunity to transcend oneself, to overcome oneself and to encompass oneself from the courageous experience of one's life.
