Abstract

This article delves into the humanity of Jesus based on Mark 6:1–6, in dialogue with the Christological confession of the Council of Nicaea. Through an exegetical and historical analysis, it shows how Mark presents Jesus as a true man rooted in his family, professional, and social context, revealing the realism of the Incarnation. The study highlights that recognizing this humanity does not contradict but rather confirms faith in his divinity. The unbelief of the Nazarenes illustrates the risk of reducing the mystery of Christ to purely human categories.
